Mississippi Valley State Overview:
 
MVSU slots in the top-five of the SWAC for three-point percentage (34.2%), three-point defense (34.5%), and fewest fouls per game (18.7).
 
Terry Collins is among the national leaders regarding points scored (151) and free throws made (39) while on the conference level, he cracks the top-three in field goals made (45), free throw percentage (86.7%), minutes per game (34:51), points per game (16.8), three-pointers (22), plus three-pointers per game (2.44).
 
Alvin Stredic is fourth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference with his one double-double, topping the Green and White currently with 4.9 rebounds a contest to go along with averaging just over eight points a night (8.2).
 
Scouting the Mississippi State Bulldogs:

State has yet to taste defeat in seven matchups this year, taking down Marquette, Utah, Omaha, Akron, South Dakota, UAPB, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
 
The Dawgs have leaned heavily on its defense to smother opponents into submission, yielding the second-lowest scoring average in the nation (49.3), allowing a miniscule field-goal percentage (34%), rank seventh in steals (11.6), and top-50 for blocks (4.9).
 
Tolu Smith has done it all for the Maroon and White, converting 60.6% of his shots while averaging 15.1 points and 10.6 boards, and swatting six blocks.
 
Shakeel Moore will pick a ball handler's pocket and not be sorry about it, swiping three steals on average and 21 total to slot seventh and 11th in the NCAA, respectively.
