STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University men and women's track programs had numerous student-athletes set PRs including a couple showings that made the SWAC's ten-best of the season so far during the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays hosted by Mississippi State.

For the men dressed in Green and White, Calvin Adolph II was possibly the most impressive, tossing the javelin a personal-best 38.27m for the ninth-farthest launch in the conference during the outdoor campaign.

His teammate out in the field that also set his new benchmark higher was Lucas Banks as he sent the discus 38.96m to top his previous distance.

Three more Delta Devils came away with personal-records over the two-day meet including Eugentavious Blue in the 100m (11.76), Gabriel Crawford during the 800m (2:07.97), and Desmond Ferrell while participating in the 110 hurdles (15.49).

As for the ladies of Itta Bena, Trenity Hill stood tall with a pair of personal-records while achieving the extremely rare feat of matching a PR exactly down to the second. The former walk-on from Cordova, Tennessee tied her career-low time of 17.20 during the 100 hurdles and smashed both of her previous high marks regarding the long jump (4.90m) plus the javelin (25.03m).

Another meet and another successful performance from freshman phenom Darrione Joseph as she placed sixth in the 100 hurdles in a personal-record mark of 13.99 which also counts as the second-fastest speed by a SWAC student-athlete clocked this year.

Michaela Brown claimed a top-ten finish for her shot-put distance of 12.65m (PR) and it now ranks fifth in the league.

Carrie Snipes was the final Devilette with a top-ten SWAC event as her 5.22m long jump is considered the ninth-farthest leap among her conference peers.

Personal-records fell for a majority of the females competing over the weekend including Terreka Gibson (200m – 26.27), Makiah Sherman (200m – 26.66), Chemyah Winn (200m – 28.66), Chanelle Houston (400m – 1:02.68), and Averi Sanders (long jump – 4.95m).

Next up on the schedule for Head Coach Alonzo Banks' squads is a trip to The Burg for the Southern Miss Invitational on Saturday, April 2.
