Valley Athletics Partners With Capital City Beverages To Provide Alcohol At Home Games

ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University athletics program has entered a three-year partnership with Capital City Beverages headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi along with its Greenwood location, to sell its selection of alcohol inside Rice-Totten Stadium for all five of its 2022 home contests as well as each game the Delta Devils host through the 2024 campaign.
 

"We are very excited to offer these new initiatives to our fan base and elevate the game-day experience on campus," said Director of Athletics, Hakim McClellan. "We are thrilled to partner with Capital City Beverages to offer a better and safer game day experience!".


The company which debuted in 1941 and is in its 81st year of operation with coverage in over 19 counties across Mississippi, including Leflore County where MVSU resides. Gene Sheriff (Vice President of Sales), who leads the sales team, is also a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University stating "It is a pleasure to partner with my Alma Mater and add to the great experience on campus,".

Capital City distributes beverages from 41 different suppliers from Abita to Yuengling which can all be found here.
