ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University football program will renew its rivalry with Delta State on the locally aired television station WCHQ-TV across 23 different cities across the Magnolia State under the new moniker of the Valley Sports Network.
"Gaining exposure of our athletic program is vital to continue our goal of elevating V-State," Athletic Director
Hakim McClellan proclaimed. "Valley State Athletics can now be seen across the Mississippi Delta region and we can show off all that we have to offer at the 'Valley of Scholars,'".
Coverage Areas for Saturday Evening's Game:
WHCQ-LD Cleveland can be seen on cable systems in the following areas:
Sparklight Cable: Cleveland, Clarksdale, Batesville, Shaw, Mound Bayou, Shelby, Pace, Boyle, Ruleville, Drew Marks, Lambert, Lyon. (Wherever Sparklight is available)
Suddenlink Cable: Greenville, Greenwood, Indianola, Morehead
Rosedale Cable: Rosedale
Belzona Cable: Belzona, Isola, Rolling Fork
WHCQ can also be viewed Over The Air Free to viewers with antennas on Channel 8 to a large portion of the Greenwood-Greenville TV Market area.
All games will also be telecast on new station:
WEBU-LD Channel 22: Water Valley, Oxford, Batesville
Covering over the air viewers in the counties of Panola, Yalobusha, Lafayette, Quitman, and Tallahatchie. (Cable TV carriage has not yet been received at this time for WEBU)
