ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State athletics program has officially hit the conference slate in three of its fall sports as soccer, volleyball, and football either begin or continue their quest for SWAC Championships.

Monday, September 26:

Softball hosts its first doubleheader of the fall campaign, hosting local HBCU community college Coahoma at 4 and 6 p.m. on the MVSU Softball Field.

Volleyball hosts Alabama A&M in game two of its three game homestand, looking to reach .500 in SWACtion at 6 p.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

Friday, September 30:

Soccer looks to build off its three-score, one-goal defeat versus Chicago State as it hosts Southern University at 4 p.m. in its SWAC debut of 2022.

Volleyball welcomes the defending regular season champions to the Mississippi Delta as Jackson State invades Itta Bena at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Might not be too much daylight in the Sunshine State this weekend as football makes the trek to Tallahassee to face the Florida A&M Rattlers at 5 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. ET. Any fans looking to make the trip to the panhandle should check the weather forecast and dress accordingly as rain is expected most of the weekend as Hurricane Ian sets to make landfall.

Soccer takes its turn hosting the Lady Tigers from Jackson State, hoping to knock off the Blue Bengals at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
