ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program welcomes Utah University to the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex on December 1 to highlight the PAC-12 / SWAC Legacy Series as the 2022-23 schedule has officially been announced.

The first chance to witness the start of the Kimberly Anderson era will take place on Halloween night as the new-look Devilettes host Tougaloo College in an exhibition game at 5:30 p.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

Local women's basketball juggernauts await in the first two regular season contests as trips to Starkville (November 9) and Baton Rouge (November 11) give Valley State two big tests to start things off.

Music City is where the Green and White can be found next on November 14 at Lipscomb University before holding the annual Jessie Harris Education Day on November 22 versus Nicholls with a lunchtime tip-off at 11 a.m.

Thanksgiving weekend will see MVSU participate in the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic for the second straight season, pairing up against Lamar on Black Friday before a rematch with the Colonels on Saturday on the campus of Southern Miss.

A once in a Blue Moon opportunity presents itself on December 1 as the Utah Utes invade the Mississippi Delta. This will be the first time Valley has hosted a PAC-12 program in six seasons, last doing so against #15 Colorado on December 17, 2016, hanging tough with the Buffs in a  76-64 setback.

The ladies from Itta Bena will take to the road for the remainder of the non-conference slate, making stops at New Orleans (December 14), UAB (December 17), South Alabama (December 20), and Texas Tech (December 27) before beginning conference play at the Alabama schools; State (January 2) and A&M (January 4).

Prairie View A&M is the opponent for Coach Anderson's home SWAC debut on January 7 with travel partner Texas Southern arriving two days later (January 9).

For the first time in program history, the Devilettes will travel to Florida for a conference matchup as Bethune-Cookman (January 14) and Florida A&M (January 16) greet their visitors.

Louisiana's SWAC representatives pay the Harrison Complex a visit on January 21 (Grambling State) and January 23 (Southern) proceeding the women's lone three-game road swing of the 2022-23 conference season at UAPB (January 28), Jackson State (February 4), and Alcorn (February 6).

Alabama A&M (February 11) and Alabama State (February 13) come to town the following weekend with the Devilettes' final road trip taking them to the Lone Star State opposite Texas Southern (February 18) and Prairie View A&M (February 20).

MVSU will get to make its final SWAC Tournament push in front of the Valley faithful as its final three games will all take place in Itta Bena, starting with Arkansas-Pine Bluff on February 25, Alcorn on March 2, and finally Senior Night against Jackson State on March 4.

The top eight squads in the SWAC standings at the conclusion of the regular season will earn a shot to cut down the nets from March 8-11 with three wins all that separates going home or a trip to March Madness.
