ITTA BENA, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State men's and women's basketball team looks to host Southern on Monday, January 23, as SWAC play continues at home in the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex. Tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. CST.

Mississippi Valley State Devilettes (2-16, 0-7 SWAC)
The Devilettes returned to the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex after a two-game lost in Florida against Bethune-Cookman (70-55) and Florida A&M (69-53). MVSU continued to decline in conference play as the team came up short against Grambling State (71-57) at home on Saturday.
Zaria Harleaux and Krisen Hunt have been leading performers for MVSU.
Harleaux recorded her third double-double with MVSU against Grambling as she registered 11 rebounds, ten points, two assists, and one steal. She was named Impact Player of the Game. Against Florida A&M, she registered eight points, six rebounds, one block, and one steal. She also recorded 15 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one block against Bethune-Cookman.
Hunt contributed to the scoreboard for the Devilettes each outing. Against Grambling State recorded 13 points, four assists, three rebounds, one block, and one steal. Against Florida A&M, she recorded eight points, six rebounds, one block, and one steal. In addition, she recorded ten points and one steal against Bethune-Cookman.
Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (2-19, 1-6 SWAC)
The Delta Devils plan to finish the job after losing three close games against Bethune-Cookman (77-71), Florida A&M (60-59), and Grambling State (65-61).
Tyronn Mosley, Kadar Waller, Terry Collins, and Rayquan Brown have been significant performers for MVSU.
Against Grambling State, Mosely was tabbed as the Impact Player of the Game as he recorded 15 points, four rebounds, and one assist. He recorded 11 points, seven rebounds, one block, and one steal against Bethune-Cookman.
Waller recorded 15 points and one assists against Grambling State. In addition, Waller contributed 14 points and collected four rebounds and two assists.
Against GSU, Collins recorded 11 points, three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. In addition, he recorded 18 points, two rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one steal against FAMU, and 11 points, seven rebounds, one block, and one steal against B-CU.
Brown recorded two double-double performances in Florida. Against FAMU, Brown recorded 14 points, 12 rebounds, six steals, and one assist. Against the Wildcats of B-CU, he recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds, and one assist.
