ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State Athletics has selected baseball's junior pitcher Hunter Stallings as its Athlete of the Week for his recent outstanding performances.

Stallings had an impressive start to his season as he started twice on the mound for the Diamond Devils, collecting two wins against Arkansas-Pine Bluff over the weekend. 

Stallings currently leads the SWAC in victories and is nationally ranked fifth. 

Up Next for MVSU Diamond Devils:

The Mississippi Valley State Diamond Devils will travel to Jonesboro, Ark., to compete against the Red Wolves of Arkansas State in a doubleheader on Tuesday, February 28. The first pitch is set for 4:00 p.m. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes afterward.
