Results
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State women's track and field set new personal records at Southern Miss. Invitational. 
Freshman Taliya Spurlock set a new PR in the 100m, clocking a time of 12.35.
Freshmen Janiya Daniel (26.01) and Shy'Kerria Curtis (26.85) set new PRs in the 200m. 
Freshman Zariyah Moss created a new PR in the 400m, clocking 1:01.22. 
In the Discus Throw, freshman Aaliyah Whyte set a new PR (37.02m), and senior Michaela Brown created a season's best (35.18m) as Whyte placed 6th and Brown placed 8th. Brown also set another season's best in Shot Put with a distance of 13.10m, landing in 2nd place. 
Senior Destini Banks created a new PR in High Jump with a leap of 1.54m, landing in 4th place. 
Women's Field Events
Brown landed in 2nd place with a toss of 13.10m, and Whyte placed 4th with a toss of 12.28m in the Shot Put. 
Banks landed in 4th place in High Jump with a leap of 1.54m.
Whyte landed in 6th place with a throwing distance of 37.02m, and Brown landed in 8th place with a distance throw of 35.18m in Discus Throw.

The Devilettes Outdoor Track & Field will travel to Oxford, Miss., to compete in Ole Miss' Joe Walker Invite. The Joe Walker Invite will begin on Friday, April 7, and conclude on Saturday, April 8.
