ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State Athletics has selected women's track & field senior Michaela Brown as its Athlete of the Week for her recent performance.

Brown set season's best in the Discus Throw and Shot Put at Southern Miss. Invite. 

In the Shot Put, Brown tossed a distance of 13.10m to land herself in 2nd place. 

In the Discus Throw, Brown had a distance throw of 35.18m to place 8th. 

Up Next for MVSU Outdoor Track & Field:

The MVSU Outdoor Track & Field will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to compete in Alabama's Crimson Tide Invitational. The meet will begin on Friday, April 21, and conclude on Saturday, April 22.
