BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University track & field program completed its first of two days at the 2026 SWAC Indoor Championships with a trio of Devilettes hitting new individual benchmarks.

- Jamison Ware had the best placement among the personal record producers, registering 17th with a new low time of 6:23.35 during the mile run.

- Nyla Snead lowered her previous benchmark in the 60m hurdles, taking her mark down to 9.54 seconds.

- Jaazaniah Calvert was the field athletes' lone PR representative on Saturday via a distance of 4.45 meters at the long jump pit.

- Aniyah Thomas was not among the PR-setters, but she did claim the top overall finish in her event among MVSU competitors, landing inside the top-15 during the weight throw at 13.39m.
