Fuquay-Varina, NC - Mississippi Valley State quarterback Ty'Jarian Williams has been named HBCU National Player of the Week by BOXTOROW. Williams, a sophomore from Aliceville, Ala., completed 19-of-28 passes for 251 yards and rushed for 31 yards in leading the Delta Devils to their first victory of the season 24-21 at Florida A&M. His four-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Nelson in the second quarter put the Delta Devils ahead for good.
He also threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Nathan Rembert.
