CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University men's cross country program got its final preparations in for the 2025 SWAC Cross Country Championships on Friday morning as the Delta Devils posted better scores than Arkansas Rich Mountain CC, East Texas Baptist, Belhaven, MUW, and East Central (Oklahoma) at the Watson Classic, hosted by Mississippi College.

Deltsa Devils' Top Performers:
- Duncan Koima continues to churn out top ten finishes, landing right at the tenth spot with a personal record time of 25:31.80, 15 seconds ahead of his previous best.
- Timothy Rotich placed inside the top 70, good enough for the second-fastest mark for the Devils, coming in at 27:07.60.
- Tony Rodriguez returned the trend of PR's being broken in Clinton, setting his bar more than two-and-a-half minutes lower to 33:17.10.
- Henry Espy was the third representative in Green and White to run his fastest as a collegian, blowing his old mark out of the water by nearly six full seconds, going for 37:43.30.
- Finally, Malachi Finley produced a season best by coming across the finish line after 39 minutes and 28 seconds on the trails.

- The next time the men take to the course will be in the SWAC Championships at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida on October 27 as they search for their first title since 2013 and fifth overall.
