CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's cross country program watched as four of its six competitors (66.7%) cross the finish line in their fastest time as collegiate runners as the Devilettes concluded the regular season by placing ahead of Huntingdon, MUW, and Xavier (Louisiana) at the Watson Classic.

Devilettes' Top Performers:

- Jasmine Mackey was the top placer in 83rd place, smashing her PR by over 90 seconds with a time of 26:20.00.
- Jamison Ware was the other Devilette to land in the top 100, obliterating her previous-best time by just under 8 seconds as she ran at a 26:50.20 clip.
- Cayden Fluellen notched her new benchmark by posting a 33:33.80 showing to round out the top three for Coach Snapp's women.
- The fourth and final personal record to fall came from Nyla Snead, who narrowly edged out her old time to complete the race in a span of 36:25.30.
- Ending the morning for MVSU was Aliyah Ward and Caiside Snapp, who produced final tallies of 37:27.50 and 39:28.60, respectively.

- The next time the women take to the course will be in the SWAC Championships at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida on October 27 as they search for their first title since 2017 and second overall.
