The Mississippi Valley State Delta are winners of 13 straight games -- the fourth longest streak in nation -- but despite their success they're taking one game at a time.
A win on Saturday against Prairie View A&M and Valley will clinch the SWAC regular season title.
"I think it's good pressure for us," said senior guard Terrence Joyner. "We play every game like its our last."
Saturday will also be Senior Day for the Delta Devils. Six players (Joyner, Kevin Burwell, Paul Crosby, Falando Jones, Amos Studivant and Cor-J Cox) will be recognized before the 4:30 p.m. tipoff.
Meanwhile, the Delta Devils hope to stave off a Panthers squad, which fell 81-57 to Valley back on Jan. 21. Cox had a career-high 26 points in that contest.
As the regular season winds down, MVSU hopes to stay on a roll that has resulted in a school-record 13 consecutive wins.
"This is the best part; this is what we've been waiting for," said Crosby.
All fans are asked to wear pink for Saturday's game in honor of breast cancer awareness. The women tip off at 2 p.m.
