ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State suffered a 75-48 loss to Texas Southern Monday at the Harrison HPER Complex.

Cameron Dobbs came off the bench to lead the Delta Devils (2-15, 2-5 SWAC) with 13 points but MVSU couldn't upset the Tigers (6-14, 5-2 SWAC). Julius Francis and Davon Usher chipped in 10 points each for MVSU, who shot just 32.7 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, five TSU players reached double-figures with Omar Strong leading the way with 18.

The Tigers led 39-19 at halftime and kept the momentum in the second half. TSU limited the Delta Devils to just 25 percent from the field and 19 points in the first half. The Delta Devils also struggled from behind the arch, converting just 4 of 22 attempts.

TSU shot 49.1 percent from the field and made 11 of 25 three-pointers.

MVSU will be back in action Saturday at Jackson State for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
