EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team is set to face Northwestern tonight at 6 p.m. CST at Welsh-Ryan Arena on the Big Ten Network. Those with DirecTV can watch the game on channel 610. The game will also be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network website (

The Delta Devils (3-6) are coming off an 89-81 win over Tougaloo College. MVSU's non-conference slate is winding down with only three left on the schedule.
Valley will try to get revenge over a Northwestern team that defeated them 81-68 last year. The Wildcats hold a 3-1 series lead over the Delta Devils.
MVSU pouring in points
The Delta Devils currently lead the SWAC in points per game with 78.7. MVSU has scored at least 70 points in each of the last three games.
McDonald leading the way
MVSU junior guard Anthony McDonald (Aberdeen, Miss.) is leading the Delta Devils with 16 points per game and sits atop the SWAC in three-point field goals made with 29. He has scored in double-figures in all but one game this season.
Washington excells in starting role
MVSU redshirt freshman point guard Jordan Washington (Memphis, Tenn.) stepped into the starting role at Monmounth on Nov. 29 and has not looked back since. He has scored in double figures in five games this season and is third on the team in scoring (10.3) and first in assists (2.8). He led the Delta Devils with a career-high 19 points against Tougaloo on Dec. 7.

MVSU will be back on the road Dec. 27 at Washington before traveling to Washington State on Dec. 28. Both games will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.
