ITTA BENA -- Mississippi Valley State ended its four-game losing streak Monday with a 90-68 win over Grambling State at the Harrison HPER Complex.

Davon Usher was four points away from tying a career-high with 31 points, including 15 in the first half. Usher has scored in double-figures in each of the last 11 games.

Four other Valley players scored in double-figures: Darryl Marshall (14), Cameron Dobbs (12), Matt Smith (12), Ervin Thomas (10). The Delta Devils made 15 of 34 three-pointers and shot 49.3 percent from the field.

Valley's 90 points marked a season-high.

Ervin Thomas recorded his third double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Brandon Dorsett paced the Tigers with 13 points while Bryant Purvis added 12 off the bench. The Tigers shot 40 percent from the field.

MVSU will close out its season Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Fans are asked to wear pink in honor of Breast Conference Awareness.
