BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team will open the 2014-15 season Friday at the Indiana University at 6 p.m. CST.

The game will be broadcasted live on the Big Ten Network as the Delta Devils begin a new era under first-year head coach Andre Payne. MVSU defeated Stillman College, 81-76, in an exhibition game earlier this month. Against Stillman, junior college transfer Tyler Corley paced Valley with 21 points while redshirt sophomore Jordan Washington chipped in 19.

MVSU will need Corley, Washington and senior DeAngelo Priar to step up in order to upset its Big 10 opponent who has won 29 straight season-opening home games.

Following Friday's game, Valley will be on the road at in-state foe Mississippi State on Monday night at 7 p.m. in Starkville.
