CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Mississippi Valley State men's and women's indoor track and field teams were back in action Friday and Saturday at the SIU Invitational.

The MVSU women's team finished seventh out of 10 while the men's squad came in 4th place out of 10 competing teams.

MVSU's Jatarius Harris finished first in the 60 Meter Dash with a time of 6.78 while Earl Winters claimed the top spot in the 60 Meter Dash with a 50.82 finish.Harris also finished second in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 22.42.

Other standout times for Valley include Romello Nalepa who came in third in the 800 Meter Run and Alicia Wimley who finished fourth int he 60 Meter Hurdles.

Also, MVSU's Queona Williams claimed the fifth spot in the 400 Meter Dash.
