ITTA BENA – (Women's Basketball) Mississippi Valley's women's basketball program took on the Lady Tigers of Stillman College in an exhibition contest, defeating them 79-65.

LaKendra Bassett finished with 23-points, six rebounds and four steals. Kristy Parker completed the contest with 15-points, five assists and four steals. She also added one block. Chyna Sawyers, Sydney Floyd and Desiray Mosley each tallied 11-points. Sawyers paced the team with nine-rebounds.

Aside from the first quarter, where the game was tied multiple times and the lead switched three times, the Devilettes were in control on the contest.

Mississippi Valley will open the regular season at the University of Alabama- Birmingham on November 11^th. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 pm.
