ITTA BENA, Miss. - The Mississippi Valley State University men's basketball team picked up their first win of the season defeating North American University 124-70 on Saturday in the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Caleb Hunter scored 32 points hitting five three-pointers while grabbing five rebounds.
• Micahel Green finished with 27 points making 11-of-13 shots from the field. Green led the defense with five steals.
• Jordan Lyons added 13 points on 6-of-8 made field goals.
• Zachary Barnes scored 11 points off the Delta Devils bench. Barnes made three shots from long range.
• Cossy Kowouto scored 10 points and Gebreal Samaha had nine points.
• North American's Francisco Martinez had 28 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Jacquez McQueen had 11 points and Bishop Ozan scored 11 points as well.
• The Delta Devils shot 59 percent (52-88) from the field, 35 percent (11-31) from three-point range, and 64 percent (9-14) on their free throws compared to 40 percent (22-54) shooting on field goals, 36 percent (12-33) on three-point  attempts, and 70 percent (14-20) on free throws.
