ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's basketball program is offering free admission to all fans for Tuesday afternoon's home opener and Jessie Harris Education Day clash with the Nicholls Colonels at 1 p.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

Mississippi Valley State Overview:
 
The ladies from the Delta are currently tops in the Southwestern Athletic Conference for both free-throw percentage (71.4%) and fewest fouls per game (15.3).
 
Zakiya Mahoney slots fourth in the league regarding steals per game (2.33) and free-throw percentage (81.8%) while fronting the Devilettes in scoring (7.7) and seven steals.
 
Krisen Hunt and Zaria Harleaux co-lead the squad with 5.7 rebounds a night while the former is leading Valley in triples at three.
 
Kerrigan Johnson has the most assists for the Green and White at seven and Elisa Saffold shares the point lead with Mahoney to go along with a club-high 45.5% field-goal percentage.
 
Scouting the Nicholls Colonels:
 
The Colonels won its first two contests over Mobile (70-61) and Alabama A&M (60-55) but followed it up with a pair of defeats versus UAB (69-40) and Grand Canyon (79-41).
 
Lexi Alexander is considered the best rebounder in the Southland conference as she's the frontrunner in double-doubles (2), total rebounds (40), and boards per contest (10.0) as well as slotting sixth blocks a game (1.25).
 
The Red and Gray have a pair of double-figure scorers in Deonna Brister (11.5) and Alexander (11.0) with Brister logging six assists and steals to top Nicholls too.
