Final Results
BATON ROUGE, La. – The Mississippi Valley State women's track and field team had an impressive showing in LSU's Purple Tiger Invite on Friday to open the season.
Taliya Spurlock won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.11. Myah Sherman placed fifth with a time of 26.81 as teammate Kaylan Clayton was right behind to place sixth with a time of 26.90.
Darrione Joseph outstretched Louisiana-Monroe's Savanna Lawson (9.09) to place fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with an official time of 9.07.
Women's Field Events
Aniyah Thomas placed ninth in the weight throw with a throw of 12.74m, while fellow Devilette Tremaija Neal placed tenth with a distance of 12.21m.
Michaela Brown landed in sixth place in the shot put with a distance of 12.62m as Aaliyah Whyte placed seventh with a throw of 12.16m.
Women's Running Events
