ITTA BENA, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State men's basketball team will travel to Jackson, Miss., to continue conference play against Jackson State Tigers on Saturday, February 4. Tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.

Mississippi Valley State (2-21, 1-8 SWAC) set to travel to Jackson, Miss., after dropping two conference games against Southern (84-70) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (88-72). 

Against Southern, Tyronn Mosley was the leading scorer for the Delta Devils. He posted 17 points and collected four rebounds. Terry Collins registered 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Rayquan Brown contributed ten points to the scoreboard against the Jaguars. 

Against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Brown and Collins were the leading scorers for the Delta Devils. They both recorded 15 points each. In addition, Brown collected five rebounds and three steals, while fellow Delta Devil Collins collected four steals and two rebounds. 

Mosley contributed 13 points to the scoreboard against the Golden Lions. He also registered five rebounds and three assists. And Kadar Waller recorded 12 points, three assists, two steals, and one rebound. 

Collins is currently ranked in the SWAC in scoring (3rd) and steals (7th). 

Brown is currently ranked in the SWAC second in double-doubles, totaling four double-double performances. 

Jackson State (6-16, 5-4 SWAC) hosts MVSU after coming up short in Baton Rouge, La., to Southern Jaguars, 73-62, on Monday evening. 

The Tigers had three players score in double figures, led by Romelle Mansel, who had 16 points and nine rebounds. Coltie Young tacked on 13 points, and Cook chipped in with a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Mansel is currently ranked in the SWAC in blocks (7th) with a total of seven.

Zeke Cook and Trace Young are currently tied at 10th in the SWAC in double-doubles with two double-double performances each.
