MONROE, La. – Next on this year's countdown of Mississippi Valley State's ten most memorable wins of the 2021-22 athletic calendar is the second of two honorable mentions as women's basketball downed the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks for the second straight season, 73-72 in overtime at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
The ladies from the Mississippi Delta had their best non-conference showing by far of the year and its only victory, shooting 41.2% from the floor, pulling down 29 defensive rebounds, and dishing out 19 assists, all non-conference bests.
The star of the show was local

Da'Sha McGloster had a career afternoon, draining a career-best three long balls, a season-best 13 points, and five field goals made (62.5%) on top of four assists, three steals as well as the club's only two blocks.
Ronni Williams never left the floor throughout the entire 45 minutes of action, picking up a lone foul while logging five assists, four boards, three points plus a steal.
Other notable contributors included
Zakiya Mahoney who tallied ten points and eight rebounds to fall two shy of a double-double and
Sarah Moore who put 13 points on the scoreboard on 6-of-9 (66.7%) from the floor.
