BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State men's and women's track and field place at Samford's Bulldog Invitational on Friday inside the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Men's Running Events
Sophomore Decorius Murray placed fifth in the 60-meter Dash with a time of 6.90.
Sophomore Desmond Ferrell finished ninth in the 60-meter Hurdles with a time of 8.35.
The Delta Devils 4x400 Relay team placed second, crossing the finish line at 3:25.85.
Women's Field Events
Senior Michaela Brown placed eighth in the shot put with a throw landing 12.78m.
Women's Running Events
Freshman Taliya Spurlock placed sixth in the 60-meter Dash with a time of 7.78. In addition, Spurlock finished ninth in the 200-meters with a time of 25.83.
Sophomore Terreka Gibson placed tenth in the 400-meters, clocking 1:01.53.
The Devilettes 4x400 Relay team came in third place with a time of 4:07.74.
Up Next:
The Delta Devils and Devilettes will return to the indoor track of Birmingham CrossPlex to compete in Samford's Bulldog Open on Saturday, February 11.
