HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State men's track and field set new personal records at Southern Miss. Invitational.Â
Freshman Elijah Johnson set a new PR in the 110m Hurdles, leaping into 9th with a time of 16.07. In addition, he created a new PR in the 400m with a time of 50.42.Â
New PRs set in the 200m, with sophomore Desmond Ferrell clocking 22.51 and freshman Jordan Robinson clocking a time of 23.13.Â
Sophomore Calvin Adolph set a new PR in Discus Throw with a distance of 33.15m.Â
Senior Jocab Bell set a new PR in the 400m Hurdles, leaping into 4th with a time of 54.92.
Men's Field Events
Freshman Markeith Wilson laned in 10th place in the High Jump, with a leap of 1.79m.Â
Men's Running Events
Ferrell finished 2nd in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 14.83. Johnson trailed to finish 9th with a time of 16.07.
Bell finished 4th in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 54.92.Â
Junior Daniel McDonald Hylton finished 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:01.86.Â
