CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University women's cross country program found out how they fared regarding most of the team's first foray into a 6k race, earning valuable experience at the Belhaven Invitational.

Devilettes' Top Performers:
- Jasmine Mackey came out of the morning as the leader of the pack for Head Coach Michael Snapp, finishing ahead of 57.7% of her peers by placing 30th with a time of 27:59.84.

- Cayden Fluellen blew her former personal record out of the water, one in which she previously set at this same event last season, soaring past her old mark by about five seconds from 39:07.0 down to 34:42.34, good enough for 57th.

- Crossing the finish line immediately behind her was Jamison Ware, landing two ticks behind her teammate at 34:44.68 to land at 58th.

- The final meet of the regular season will take place in the same location on a new date and with a different host as Valley gets their final warm-up prior to the SWAC Championships on Friday, October 17 as participants in the Watson Classic.
