MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Next on this year's countdown of Mississippi Valley State's ten most memorable wins of the 2021-22 athletic calendar is win number four on the list as men's basketball caught fire from behind the arc, making 14 of its 25 attempts from downtown (56%) in a comfortable 85-71 win inside the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

The 14-point victory was tied for its largest margin against a NCAA Division I opponent since a 103-89 win over Texas Southern on January 23, 2017, its best field-goal percentage in five seasons (54.5%), its most assists (21) since November of 2018, and the 14 triples were the most since 2020.

Terry Collins was the catalyst for the three-point explosion, knocking down a career-best six three-pointers (66.7%) during his 8-for-13 (61.5%) evening that resulted in a career/game-high 24 points.

Caleb Hunter was the Robin to Collins' Batman, registering 20 points courtesy of five threes, producing a career-best eight assists and season-high four steals plus four boards in an all-around impressive outing.

David McCoy joined the group of student-athletes with personal-bests, dropping a season-high 15 points on six field goals on top of two triples and a pair of rejections.

Gary Grant rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Delta Devils, also putting a 15-spot on the scoreboard to go along with six rebounds and five dimes.

Daniel Umoh earned top dog rebounder status in this contest, falling one shy of double-figures with nine boards.
