ITTA BENA, Miss. – Next on this year's countdown of Mississippi Valley State's ten most memorable wins of the 2021-22 athletic calendar is win number three on the list as women's basketball put together its highest point total since November 2018 in a blowout of Alcorn, 93-76.
The Devilettes seemingly could not miss from the floor, connecting on a season-high 50.8% of shots (30-of-59) and 50% of its long-range bombs (8-for-16) with six of the squad's eight active players crossing the double-digit point threshold.
Jasmine Elliott decided to set every personal-best she had on the campaign, going for a season-best 22 points on 8-of-11 (72.7%) shooting, corralling ten boards, dishing out three dimes, two steals, a pair of triples, and her first career double-double.
Sarah Moore just missed another double-double with a fantastic 15-point, nine-rebound evening while
Mikayla Etienne recorded 17 points and more assists (4) than the Lady Braves had as a team (3).
Krisen Hunt was 3-for-5 with all of her attempts coming from distance for 11 total points.
Kerrigan Johnson and
Milia Gibson concluded the double-figure contributors for Valley with 12 and 10 points respectively.
