Hunter, who had garnered a well-earned reputation as a deep ball sharpshooter, received the off-balance pass from SWAC Newcomer of the Year
Gary Grant with about three seconds left and sent the ball flying over two Bulldog defenders to stun the student section behind the basket and provide free basketball.
The Detroit, Michigan born sophomore had reached 1,000 career points just one week prior on February 5 and he ended the evening with 13 points over 44 minutes of action, his eighth straight contest of scoring in double-digits.
Named SWAC Impact Player of the Week on January 19 and SWAC Player of the Week on December 15, he topped the Delta Devils for the season with 122 field goals, 65 threes, 351 points, and a scoring average of 14.0 while ending his Valley tenure with 1,086 career points over three seasons.
